Kovac Experimental PVC Piper Harp Plans

Using our full plans set, build your own original John Kovac model PVC Piper Harp, a 22 String Paraguayan-based folk harp. 

The PVC Piper Harp plans are a complete set of plans with full-sized, cut-out templates & assembly instructions and include the “Pipe Dreams” Enhanced CD with harp video (Includes 16 audio tunes of John playing on his PVC Piper Harp and 3 videos of 1) Assembly, 2) the first Lesson on the PVC Piper Harp & 3) a demonstration Tune of John play his PVC Piper Harp.) 

Plans-only sets do not come with PVC, strings, glues, or hardware. We no longer supply strings or hardware for this particular Kovac Specialty harp. Such materials are available on Amazon, at hardware stores & at various big-name harp stores that sell harp strings.

The PVC Piper Harp's Description

This harp has 22 treble strings.

This is a relatively fast and easy project to make a fun, experimental harp with very little upfront expense. The plans include Full-Sized templates. 

The harp is simple to put together & can be assembled in about a day or two using basic hand tools. Stringing & tuning will take more time.

The PVC Piper Harp requires the following components, parts & pieces:

• • Various PVC Pipe, Elbows, etc., & Glue
  • 22 Nylon Monofilament Strings
  • 22 String Beads (for knots)
    
  • Optionally, 22 String Grommets
  • 22 String Tuning Machines for Standard Acoustic Guitars
  • All Necessary Hardware per plans
    
  • Rubber Feet with Screws
  • 1 String Winder
  • Electronic Note e-Tuners are highly recommended. (It is not a good idea to use a piano to tune your harp.)
